Director of Nursing

Dallas, TX

Make a Meaningful Impact as the Clinical Leader of Katherine’s House, our new assisted living facility.

Are you an experienced nurse leader dedicated to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and resident advocacy? We are seeking an inspiring, hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to serve as the clinical leader of our assisted living community.

Established in 1934, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) is a non-profit organization providing compassionate care to the community. As the first and most experienced Hospice Care provider in Texas, VNA has a trusted reputation for delivering high-quality care for over 90 years. Our hospice and palliative care programs are available across 16 counties in North Texas, including: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant, Van Zandt, and parts of Wise and Navarro Counties.

Joining our team means more than a competitive salary and mileage reimbursement. We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, along with employer-paid life and short and long-term disability insurance. To support your future, we offer a 401(k) with a 6% match and a fast, two-year vesting schedule. We also prioritize work-life harmony through generous PTO, six total paid holidays, and opportunities for professional growth and tuition reimbursement—all within a supportive, mission-driven culture.

In this role, you will lead our care team, champion resident dignity, choice, and independence, and partner closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, home health, and hospice providers to deliver high-quality, person-centered care. If you are looking to guide a dedicated team in a culture rooted in clinical integrity and resident wellness, we invite you to apply.
